History
2025: 70.07 Gbps Cyber Attack
The ASVT Internet provider was subjected to a large-scale DDoS attack with a capacity of 70.07 Gbps, due to which some of the company's customers had problems with network access. The attack was recorded at the end of May 2025 at 10:19 and led to interruptions in the operation of Internet services from the operator's subscribers. This was announced by Roskomnadzor.
According to Interfax, the intensity of the cyber attack was 6.92 million packets per second. The company "ASVT" provides communication services in residential complexes of Moscow and the Moscow region. On Wednesday, social networks reported problems with Internet access for the provider's customers.
The national system for countering DDoS attacks, created by Roskomnadzor, began to repel a cyber attack and filter malicious traffic. At the time of publication of the message, the system filtered 47 Gbps and 6.12 million packets per second from the total attack stream.
The Center for Monitoring and Management of the Public Communications Network subordinate to Roskomnadzor maintains constant contact with representatives of ASVT. The Center assists in restoring the normal functioning of the operator's networks using the resources of the National System for Countering DDoS Attacks.
The company has already stabilized some of the traffic, but it will take additional time to completely eliminate the consequences of the attack. Roskomnadzor said that at the time of publication of the message there is no confirmed information about the impact of this attack on other companies or critical information infrastructure.
The agency recommended that subscribers of "ASVT" who faced problems with Internet access contact the operator's support service to quickly resolve issues. The restoration of the full operation of communication services continues under the control of the regulator.[1]
