TD Absolut was founded in 1990 and became one of the first wholesale sellers of household appliances in Russia. The geography of supplies is the entire territory of Russia.

The company's product portfolio includes household appliances from more than 300 global manufacturers, including LG, Samsung, Sony, Bosch, Electrolux, Philips and Ariston.

The company has a 24-hour A-class warehouse with an area of ​ ​ 32,000 m ² and an automobile cargo fleet of various load-carrying classes. The partner base of Absolute TD has more than 1000 regular customers, including the largest federal and regional retail chains.

2022: Sale of the company to Alexander Yamnitsky

Latvian IT distributor Elko grupa sold the business in Russia, which was announced at the end of April 2022. From that moment, the company began to separate operational and technical business processes. 2018: Purchase of Absolute TD by ELKO Group

On July 23, 2018, ELKO Grupa AS, an international IT distributor, announced the completion of the transaction to acquire 100% of the shares of the Absolute Trading House. Concluding a purchase agreement between companies will increase customer coverage by giving them access not only to IT products, but also to household appliances and electronics, ELKO representatives noted.

Oleg Gusakov, who worked for about 20 years at Absolute TD and who went from a procurement manager to a general director over the years, will lead the combined structure in Russia. As noted in ELKO, the presence in the company's management of employees with experience in Absolute will allow you to integrate as painlessly and quickly as possible. Alexander Alekseev, commercial director of ELKO Russia, will head the commercial unit of the combined team.

In line with the latest market trends (IoT, smart home solutions, erasing the boundaries between home electronics and IT), ELKO Group and Absolut plan to set a precedent for partnerships that will not only be noticed in the market, but also give customers the opportunity to consolidate their purchases and reduce costs.

According to Egons Mednis, president and shareholder of ELKO Group, the acquisition of Absolute will change the face of ELKO's Russian business.

In recent years, we have mainly developed business in European countries. Only in the last few years, Apple Premium Service branded stores in the Czech Republic, service centers in Slovakia were acquired, Gandalf Distribution, a distributor in Sweden, began to develop business in Poland. But this does not mean that we stood still in Russia. In recent years, we have received several very attractive contracts, which helped, despite the general decline in the market, to increase business in Russia.
