The Amdocs company, the system provider and services in a reach of clients, announced in September, 2013 the conclusion of the final agreement on purchase of Actix company. The cost of the transaction is $120 million. This acquisition will allow Amdocs to expand a portfolio for clients in the network sphere. The transaction was already approved by Boards of Directors of Actix and Amdocs. Its end is expected at the end of September of the current year, reported CNews in the company.
Thanks to acquisition of Actix, independent software supplier for optimization of a mobile network, Amdocs the portfolio of CES (Customer Experience Systems) will be able to expand with the services which are based on the analysis of location-based data. This acquisition allows to position Amdocs as the vendor offering the clients opportunities of optimization of network due to consolidation of data on subscribers of the OSS/BSS systems and data on location of subscribers in communication networks.
In particular, the solution proposed by Amdocs will allow telecom operators to support difficult options of work with users and to be engaged actively in network performance for modification and improvement of work of specific clients or client groups. Thus, telecom operators will be able to reach a bigger economic benefit thanks to the improved automation and optimization of the existing networks, as well as at deployment of new technologies, for example, LTE and small cells, explained in the company.
