The Amdocs company purchased the developer of systems for management of telecommunication companies of networks. Together with own billing she intends to propose to operators a new solution which will allow them to develop a broad spectrum of package offers. Transaction amount is $214 million.

Amdocs, the system provider of customer service (CRM), announced closing of the transaction on acquisition of BridgewaterSystems Corporation company. Bridgewater is engaged in development of solutions for management of networks of mobile operators and suppliers of convergent telecommunication services.

During the transaction of Amdocs purchased 100% of the released ordinary Bridgewater at the price of 8.20 Canadian dollars for an action. Total amount of the transaction is estimated approximately at 211 million Canadian dollars or $214 million (139 million Canadian dollars without a net cash of Bridgewater or $141 million).

To the transaction of Amdocs did not own securities of Bridgewater. With Bridgewater acquisition the Amdocs company expects to expand possibilities of the solutions CustomerExperienceSystems (CES) due to support of new price strategy in data transmission, said in the official statement.

Suppliers of telecommunication services gradually refuse unlimited rates for data transmission as they threaten operability of networks in the conditions of traffic consumption growth. Instead they are going to create new pricing models and the personalized offers which will meet most fully requirements of different customer groups. "This strategic acquisition will allow service providers to review pricing models in services of data transmission and to maximize return of the investments made in development of networks", - the vice president of Amdocs Brian Shepherd said.

Integration of the systems of billing and management of network politicians will allow suppliers of telecommunication services to offer the subscribers an opportunity to select service packages, and operators will be able to develop discounts and special offers and to improve opportunities for cross-sellings of bonus services in real time.

According to the analyst of Heavy Reading Ari Banerjee, for successful monetization of networks and transition to the cost focused price models service providers need to integrate billing and management of network politicians. "The management of network politicians in itself guarantees optimal network functioning, but does not provide the maximum profitability. At the same time solutions for billing do not consider network data in the work. With Bridgewater acquisition the Amdocs company will be able to present integrated solution which will help service providers to raise income from services of data transmission", - he added.
