History

2021: Raising $50 million

In early September 2021, Alma raised $50 million as part of the investment round of Series C. Round led the Insight Partners fund with the participation of Optum Ventures, Tusk Venture Partners, Primary Venture Partners, Sound Ventures, BoxGroup, as well as the foundation of VKontakte co-founder Vyacheslav Ventrilashvili.

According to Alma, the company intends to use the funds raised to expand operations and develop its business.

Alma is a membership-based network for mental health providers that allows you to create and expand your practice. At the head of the company, founder and CEO Harry Ritter, Laura Scott, chief operating officer Laura Scott, as well as vice president Kate Mellor, vice president. Alma's software platform offers insurance support, teletherapy software, automated billing, and planning tools to enable therapists to focus on providing care.

Over the past 12 months, Alma has expanded its network of mental health providers to more than 2,000 participants. By September 2021, the service is available in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Florida, Arizona, Nevada and Texas.[1]
