2024: Machine Tool Plant Construction

2023: Conclusion of an agreement for the creation of a production of metal-cutting equipment for 7 billion rubles
On June 15, 2023, the government of St. Petersburg and the Baltic Industrial Company signed an agreement on the creation of a production of metal-cutting equipment. Investments in this project will amount to 7 billion rubles, the company plans to create 396 jobs within 7 years
It is expected that the new plant will expand the volume of production, which is in demand in aviation, space, energy and general engineering. These include three-axis milling centers with different tables, five-axis portal machining centers, as well as horizontal boring machines. As noted in the press service of Smolny, against the background of restrictions on the import of industrial equipment, the creation of such a site is extremely important not only for St. Petersburg itself, but also for the whole country.

The construction of such an enterprise will restore previously lost competencies in the production of complex technological equipment, said Diana Kaledina, General Director and owner of Baltic Industrial Company CJSC.
By June 2023, the Baltic Industrial Company owns enterprises in St. Petersburg, the Leningrad Region and the Ryazan Region. The company's production facilities develop new models of machine tools, machining cast iron casting and main machine tools, assembly and adjustment of metalworking equipment. The company produces machines under the Sasta and F.O.R.T. brands and, according to its own data, by mid-2023 occupies more than 8% of the market for the consumption of metal-cutting machines in Russia.[1]
