Plan to launch the production of smartphones

In the Rostov region, Beshtau will launch the production of smartphones. However, the start date of the enterprise is scheduled only for 2027. This was announced on November 23, 2023 by the press service of the State Duma deputy RFAnton Nemkin.

Neither the scale of production nor more specific details have yet been reported. In addition, it is not known whether we are talking about creating a full-cycle enterprise or launching a factory according to the "screwdriver assembly" format.

This is the production of various mobile devices: tablets, smartphones. If we talk about whether I will use it? Of course I will. "Made on the Don" - it sounds beautiful, this is a brand that exists, it is already associated not only with food, but also with the production of a large number of goods of various purposes, - said Vasily Golubev, Governor of the Rostov Region.

Indeed, favorable conditions have developed for the development of their own technologies. On the one hand, there is a demand in the market itself due to the departure of many foreign vendors and the rise in prices for their products due to rising prices. logistics On the other hand, there is support from the outside states both in terms of direct benefits and simplification of the legal field for a number, industries economies including for IT the segment, - explained Anton Nemkin.

Russia has already shown flexibility in quickly creating and approving IT products in terms of software, Anton Nemkin recalled.

The task of creating Russian smartphones, of course, looks much more ambitious, given that this is not a segment traditional for Russian production. But nevertheless, we have an example of Chinese manufacturers who managed to compete with the usual brands for us. In addition, the country has a large demand for inexpensive but functional smartphones, which can become the main niche for Russian manufacturers. But I emphasize that it makes sense to launch such enterprises if we are talking about a full cycle. It should include both development and direct production with a large share of domestic components. Due to the fact that the full launch of the plant is scheduled for 2027, perhaps this approach can be organized. In any case, 4 years for a product such as a smartphone is a long time, so in the future it is necessary to take into account all market trends when launching in-line production, the parliamentarian concluded.

Construction of a full-cycle laptop factory for 8 billion rubles

On August 28, 2023, the Russian company Beshtau officially began construction of its own computer equipment plant in Rostov-on-Don. The volume of investments in the project is 8 billion rubles.

The production capacity of the enterprise will be at the first stage 50 thousand units of equipment, at the next stage - will double. Also, the factory will open the production of lithium-ion batteries. The project is planned to be fully implemented in 2025. It is noted that this will be the first full-cycle laptop factory in Russia. More than 700 jobs will be created there. The total area of ​ ​ production complexes will exceed 9 thousand square metro.

Beshtau has officially begun construction of its own computer equipment plant

One of the tasks facing the country today is to ensure technological sovereignty. This is what will happen here soon. I am convinced that in 2025 we will witness that not just a new plant has appeared, but in fact a new product industry that is in demand in any area and in any region of the Russian Federation. New computer equipment, lithium-ion batteries, which are in great demand today, is what will be the subject of this plant, - said the Governor of the Rostovskaya Region Vasily Golubev during the ceremony of laying a symbolic stone at the construction site.

The general director of the Beshtau group, Oleg Osipov, in turn, said that the governor took many steps aimed at developing the electronic industry in the region.

I believe that radio electronics, the electronic industry will become the hallmark of the Don region, "he stressed.

Beshtau Group of Companies is engaged in the production of import-substituting products - radio electronics and computer equipment in Rostov-on-Don and Essentuki.^[1]

2022: Plant Opening Plan

A plant for the production of computer equipment opens in the Stavropol Territory. This became known on May 16, 2022.

Construction of Beshtau Electronics, in which more than 600 million rubles. began in October 2021; commissioning is scheduled for June 2022.

Due to the high pace of implementation, its commissioning is expected in June 2022. Already at the first stage of work, it is planned to release a large line of high-tech products here. The main emphasis will be on the production of monoblocks and monitors, the press service said in a statement.

The volume of products is planned to increase over time. The estimated maximum production volume is up to 300 thousand monitors and 150 thousand monoblocks per year. In the future, under the Beshtau Electronics brand, it is planned to launch the production of keyboards, computer mice and cases for system units^[2] for^[3].
