2024: Profit growth in Russia by 124.3% to 2.3 billion rubles

At the end of 2024, Russian enterprises of the French group Bonduelle (Bonduel-Kuban LLC), which is engaged in the production of canned vegetables, frozen vegetables and ready-made vegetable dishes, recorded a net profit of 2.3 billion rubles. This is more than twice (by 124.3%) the result for 2023, when the figure was 1.03 billion rubles. Such data are reflected in the financial statements released in early April 2025.

The revenue of the Bonduel-Kuban company, which combines two plants for the production of canned vegetables in the Krasnodar Territory, as well as an enterprise for the production of frozen products in the Belgorod Region, in 2024 amounted to 19.62 billion rubles. For comparison, a year earlier, 17.89 billion rubles were received. Thus, the growth was at the level of 9.7%. The cost of sales increased by 9% - from 11.25 billion rubles to 12.26 billion rubles. Commercial expenses amounted to 3.44 billion rubles against 3.05 billion rubles in 2023. At the same time, management expenses decreased by about 30% - from 1.51 billion rubles to 1.06 billion rubles.

French canned vegetable producer Bonduelle doubles net profit in Russia

Profit from sales rose by 37.4% - from 2.08 billion rubles in 2023 to 2.86 billion rubles in 2024. Profit before tax increased by 111.4%, amounting to 2.77 billion rubles against 1.31 billion rubles a year earlier. Accounts receivable as of December 31, 2024 amounted to 5.75 billion rubles, while in 2023 the figure was 5.11 billion rubles. Accounts payable increased by 44.3% - from 2.11 billion rubles to 3.05 billion rubles.

Payments to suppliers (contractors) for raw materials, materials, works and services reached 14.94 billion rubles against 13.74 billion rubles in 2023. Expenses in connection with the remuneration of employees amounted to 1.39 billion rubles.[1]

2023: Record revenue - 17.9 billion rubles

Russian vegetable producers from the Bonduelle group in 2023 set new records for revenue. This became known from the reporting under RAS, which the Bonduel-Kuban company disclosed in early April 2024.

According to Interfax, citing materials from Bonduel-Kuban LLC, in 2023 the company earned 17.9 billion rubles in revenue against 14.9 billion rubles a year earlier. At the same time, the net profit of the vegetable producer decreased by 9.8%, to 1.03 billion rubles. Other expenses of the company in 2023 turned out to be equal to 850.9 million rubles, having risen 4.2 times compared to the previous year.

Russian vegetable producers from the Bonduelle group in 2023 set new records for revenue

Bonduel-Kuban includes two plants for the production of canned vegetables in the Krasnodar Territory, a plant for the production of frozen products in the Belgorod Region, as well as separate units in the Kaluga, Sverdlovsk, Rostov Regions and St. Petersburg. At the end of 2022, the company suspended the plant for freezing products in Shebekin in the Belgorod region and transferred the line from there to the Kaluga enterprise.

In addition to Bonduel-Kuban, the Bonduelle group includes another Russian enterprise - Agro-Rost in the Krasnodar Territory (engaged in the cultivation of grain, leguminous and oilseeds). In 2023, it also recorded a record revenue of 1.47 billion rubles under RAS (+ 37% compared to the previous year). The company's net loss reached 98.4 million rubles, while in 2022 there was a net profit of 10.3 million rubles.

By the end of 2023, Bonduelle's agricultural assets in Russia reached 10 thousand hectares. The group created Bonduel-Belgorod LLC in the Belgorod Region, which was subsequently annexed to Bonduel-Kuban[2]

History

2022: Refusal to leave the Russian market during the conflict in Ukraine

The French company Bonduelle is not going to leave Russia yet, since it considers it important to continue to provide food to people not only in the Russian Federation, but also in other countries receiving products produced in Russia, said the company's CEO Guillaume Debros in November 2022 amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

As of December 2021, Bonduelle has 3 plants and a head office in Moscow in Russia. The total staff exceeds 500. The company supplies both canned and frozen vegetable products on the Russian market.

2018

According to information as of June 2018, the central office of Bonduel-Kuban LLC is located in Moscow. Bonduelle in Russia also has production sites in the Krasnodar Territory.

2000: Creation of Bonduel-Kuban LLC

Bonduel-Kuban LLC is a subsidiary of Bonduel Development. Organized in 2000. The main business area is the wholesale of canned vegetables, fruits and nuts.
