Busfor purchased KVTs-service and ITT
On December 24, 2019 it became known of acquisition of the Russian software developers by Busfor service for sale of tickets and automation of work of stations "KVTs-service" and ITT (Avibus brand). BlaBlaCar purchased Busfor
On September 24, 2019 it became known of Busfor sale to the French service of search of fellow travelers of BlaBlaCar. The financial component of the agreement does not reveal, but the CEO of BlaBlaCar Nicolas Brusson in a conversation with CNBC TV channel called this transaction of "largest" for his company. It is going to be closed until the end of 2019.
Having absorbed Busfor, the BlaBlaCar company will receive new technologies of distribution, armoring and sale of bus tickets to which bus stations and bus stations in the region with the population more than 300 million people are connected. Intend to satisfy with joint efforts of the company better needs of passengers and bus carriers and also to accelerate rates of digitalization of the bus market.
The transaction does not assume reduction of staff of the companies or suspension of the operating partnership. Management of both companies will save the positions within the general structure. About 150 employees of Busfor will join BlaBlaCar.[1]
It is supposed that integration of the transport solutions (a karpuling and buses) supplementing each other will attract more users on the platform. It will help car owners to find more simply fellow travelers, and to carriers — passengers. Eventually, both those, and others will fill more effectively empty seats that will allow to reduce number of cars on roads and to reduce the amount of emissions of CO2 in the atmosphere, said in joint the statement of the companies.
For Busfor the transaction could be forced as at the company the investments involved earlier came to an end, told Kommersant the source close to one of competitors of service. From the moment of foundation in 2012 the company attracted $32.5 million by September of the 2019th. Earlier Basfor entered into Gillbus holding.
According to Bryusson, expansion of BlaBlaCar in Russia and Eastern Europe will not lead to the fact that the company will begin to compete directly with services of the order of the taxi, such as Uber and " Yandex.taxi ".
