Center of hydrometeorological service (Uzgidromet)

The center of hydrometeorological service (Uzgidromet) is the state body of the Republic of Uzbekistan accountable to the Cabinet and responsible for solving of tasks of development and improvement of the state system of hydrometeorological observations, hydrometeorological providing branches of the economy, carrying out research works, improvement of short-term and long-term forecasting of weather, water content of the rivers, climate changes. Uzgidromet performs monitoring of air pollution, pollution of surface waters (natural water currents), soils and background monitoring.
