Purchase of Comptel will add the new solutions helping operators to collect and analyze data in the telecommunication networks to a portfolio of software products of Nokia. The transaction became for Nokia a part of the plan for formation of independent software business announced in 2015 which focused on corporate solutions and platforms for Internet of Things. Like competitors of Nokia aims to make this business profitable, Bloomberg tells.
The analyst of UBS Gareth Jenkins called purchase of Comptel "interesting" and noted that Nokia already purchased perspective assets in the past. Expansion of business in new spheres has fundamental value for the company, the specialist considers.
According to analysts of the Finnish company FIM probably someone will want to kill the offer of Nokia as it assumes the small allowance for Comptel acquisition. Shareholders can not approve the transaction with Nokia on present conditions, experts consider.
At the same time Board of Directors and shareholders to whose share 48% of securities of Comptel fall already accepted the offer of Nokia.
2011
