History

2019: Purchase by Check Point Software Technologies company

In the middle of November, 2019 Check Point Software Technologies announced Cymplify acquisition. How much this purchase cost to the decision maker for cyber security, is not reported.

Check Point said that thanks to merger of Cymplify it will be possible to protect from zero day attacks (zero-day attack) the most different devices — from IP cameras and TVs to elevators and the medical equipment.

According to the director of global partner sales of Check Point Chief Frank Rauch, Cymplify technology are capable to prevent malefactors to operate vulnerabilities of remote accomplishment of the code (RCE) or such vulnerabilities as VENOM (Virtualized Environment Neglected Operations Manipulatio, a possibility of manipulation of transactions in virtual environments) or GHOST. Partners already estimated opportunities of access control, prevention of threats and applications launch which are offered by Cymplify, he added.

Check Point says that weak security of IoT-ustrystv which are used by consumers, the companies, industrial enterprises and medical institutions created "a blind zone" for protection against the advanced attacks. Therefore malefactors are capable to control devices and the whole plants far off.[1]
