For February 16, 2017 Cyber Threat Alliance (CTA) is alliance of the organizations operating in the field of protection against cyberthreats.

The purposes of alliance - joint activity on the basis of good will, for informing business community on threats for the purpose of improvement of protection against cyber-opponents by means of the member organizations and their customers.

The organization is founded in 2014.

Joined six charter members the board: Check Point, Cisco, Fortinet, Intel Security, Palo Alto Networks and Symantec.

Data exchange about threats

For February 16, 2017 the CTA organization provided regular data exchange about botnets and mobile threats, exchange of the indicators of a compromise (IoCs) connected with advanced permanent threats (APT), and samples of the modern malware from the date of the basis.

Among achievements of the organization - joint cracking of the code of version 3 CryptoWall. The conducted researches and results received by CTA forced cybercriminals to develop version 4 CryptoWall which specialists of CTA managed to reveal that considerably reduced damage from the attack.

CTA member companies are convinced of need of data exchange for fight against sophisticated global cyber attacks for general welfare of all Internet users.
