2016: Joining the Department of Investment Policy and State Support for Entrepreneurship of the Tyumen Region

In December 2016, the Innovation Committee of the Tyumen Region was reorganized in the form of joining the Department of Investment Policy and State Support for Entrepreneurship of the Tyumen Region. The Department of Investment Policy and State Support for Entrepreneurship of the Tyumen Region is the successor to all the rights and obligations of the Innovation Committee of the Tyumen Region attached to it^[1].

2011: Renaming the Innovation Committee of the Tyumen Region

In September 2011, the Department of Strategic Development of the Tyumen Region was renamed the Committee on Innovation of the Tyumen Region. The functions and powers in the development of domestic and inbound tourism of the Tyumen region, as well as in the implementation of the Management Training Program for Organizations of the National Economy of the Russian Federation in the Tyumen Region, were transferred to the Department of Investment Policy and State Support for Entrepreneurship^[2] Tyumen Region].

2005: Activities of the Department of Strategic Development of the Tyumen Region

The Department of Strategic Development of the Tyumen Region was the executive authority of the Tyumen Region. The main tasks of the Department were (Decree of the Government of the Tyumen Region dated May 30, 2005 No. 54-p "On Approval of the Regulation on the Department of Strategic Development of the Tyumen Region"):

• Implementation of the concept of strategic development of the Tyumen region, taking into account the main directions of development of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug;
• Informatization of state authorities of the Tyumen region, creation and development of information networks, as well as ensuring their integration into the single information space of the Tyumen region and the Russian Federation;
• Implementation of measures for the development of domestic and inbound tourism in the Tyumen region;
• Formation and implementation of mechanisms for the development of innovation activities in the Tyumen region;
• Development and implementation of measures for effective spending of state funds and rational use of state property in the supervised sphere^[3].
