2021: Creating a Company

In mid-March 2021, it became known about the creation of two IT companies - Assistant and Digital Farmer - the main owner of Rusagro Vadim Moshkovich and the general director of the agricultural holding Maxim Basov.

As Vedomosti writes with reference to Basov, Digital Farmer is conceived as a service for farmers: it will provide a b2b marketplace for the purchase and sale of agricultural products, equipment, fertilizers, etc. Perhaps over time, business process automation systems, analysts, etc. will also appear in it, he said.

As for Podsagro, this company is designed "for making agronomic decisions," Maxim Basov said without specifying details. He only noted that both services are planned to be tested among Russian farmers  in 2021, after which they will be offered to foreign companies.

Data on the companies "Assistant" and "Digital Farmer" are contained in the base "SPARK-Interfax." It says that 50% of them belong to Maxim Basov and Vadim Moshkovich, the publication notes.[1]

The digital technology market for farmers by 2021 is in its infancy and cannot be evaluated, no more than two dozen projects work on it, says Alexey Soloviev, founder of the investment company A.Partners. In the world market, this direction is more developed: in 2020, the agrofudtech market attracted about $30 billion in investments, indicates Nikita Shashkin, a member of the board of directors of Interra (engaged in the development and implementation of digital services for crop production).

According to Solovyov, most of the projects in the Russian market are field management systems. Despite the fact that they are in demand, there are difficulties with connecting farmers to them: they are ready for basic services (for example, creating a field map, monitoring agricultural machinery)
