2019: Huawei purchased "Eagle softlab"

On June 3, 2019 it became known of sale of intellectual property of Vokord company of the Chinese Huawei. The last also received a part of a team of the Russian developer of the systems of face recognition.

Within the transaction which took place on May 17, 2019 Huawei purchased Russian "Eagle softlab" which purchased technologies and the equipment "Vokorda" earlier, Vedomosti with reference to the informed sources writes. The representative of Huawei confirmed to the edition purchase of "Needles of a softlab", but did not disclose transaction details.

Huawei purchased the Russian sensing technology of persons

Vokord, according to two interlocutors of the newspaper, estimated Huawei at $40-50 million. The partner of Impulse VC fund Kirill Belov considers that the transaction with the Russian company cost Huawei cheaper, than the transaction with the project from the USA could manage.

Vocord occupies several percent of the market of face recognition in Russia, the top manager of developer company of biometric technologies told the edition. He assumed that at the expense of this transaction of Huawei she intends to increase quickly the state of qualified employees in the Russian market.

According to Rospatent, by the beginning of June, 2019 of Vokord company 11 patents for inventions and six patents for programs belong. On April 1, 2019 the company submitted the application for alienation of the rights to these intellectual property items in whose advantage – it is unknown, Vedomosti notes.^[1]

2018: Foundation of the company

"Eagle softlab" was founded in December, 2018 by namesakes of the co-founder and the technical director of Vokord Alexey Kadeyshvili and the co-owner of the company Vyacheslav Kuzmichev – Lyubov Kadeyshvili (to the transaction it possessed 23.6% of the company) and Vladimir Kuzmichev (6.43%). Funds "S-group Venchurs" (17.67%, Alexey Mordashov's Severgroup) and "Leading innovations" (44.17%, UK "Leader" is controlled), which at the same time are the main owners of "Vocord of a softlab" were shareholders of the company also.
