2024: Completion of construction of SIM card factory

In Moscow, in August 2024, the construction of a new factory for the production of SIM-cards was completed, the cost of which amounted to more than ₽200 million. According to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow Maxim Liksutov, the facility was built on the territory of the special economic zone "Technopolice Moscow," in the "Alabushevo" area. Construction work has already been completed, and the improvement of the territory and the supply of the necessary equipment continues.

The plant belongs to the company "Istkompis Rus" - a resident of the SEZ "Technopolice Moscow." The new industrial building, whose area exceeds 2.1 thousand square meters, will produce both traditional SIM cards and virtual eSIM cards. The company's plans also include improving eSIM technologies that are built into mobile devices and connected through scanning a QR code.

A factory for the production of SIM-cards was built in Moscow for 200 million rubles

As noted by Gennady Degtev, General Director of the Technopolice Moscow SEZ, the new plant will significantly increase the production capacity of the company, which already produces more than 60 million units per year for domestic and foreign markets. With the introduction of the new enterprise, the main production facilities will be concentrated in one place, which will increase efficiency and speed up the production process.

The company became a resident of the special economic zone of the capital in 2020, which allows it to enjoy a number of economic and customs preferences, including exemption from taxes on property, land and transport, as well as an income tax rate of only 2%.

According to the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky, the commissioning of the new plant is scheduled for the third quarter of 2024, and the company has already received all the necessary permits to start production.[1]

2020: Obtaining the status of a resident of the SEZ "Technopolice" Moscow "

The company "Istkompis Rus" received the status of a resident of the special economic zone "Technopolice" Moscow "and plans to invest 126.7 million rubles in the development of the production of SIM cards on the territory of the SEZ. This was announced on November 19, 2020 by the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of Moscow from the words of the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov.

Istkompis Rus annually supplies telecom operators in Russia, the CIS countries, as well as in Germany and Estonia, about 50 million SIM cards. The company works in partnership with the parent organization - the world manufacturer of SIM cards Eastcompeace Technology Co Ltd.

In early 2021, the company will begin capital construction of a facility with an area of ​ ​ 1,700 square meters, which will house a production complex, laboratory and office premises. Resident status allows companies to receive benefits, and the saved funds to invest in their production. The resident will invest 126.7 million rubles in the project. With the launch of production in 2022, more than 50 high-tech jobs will be created, the deputy mayor said.

The company was the first on the Russian market to develop software for virtual SIM cards. They allow you to remotely record the profile of any telecom operator who provides such a service, and not visit communication salons to connect to the services of a mobile operator.
