For the first time in the country, we have created such an e-sports center almost from scratch. It is very important that it is not commercial, but urban. Here you can train absolutely free of charge, - said the mayor.

The cyber sports site is located on the basis of the existing center "Physical Education and Health" in the Krasnogvardeisky district. For this project, the premises were completely reconstructed and equipped with the latest technology. Visitors have at their disposal modern gaming systems, powerful computers, high-resolution monitors, virtual reality headsets, specialized furniture. Equipped with a separate "streamer" for broadcasting tournaments.

Children over 10 years old will be able to visit the center, including from large, low-income families and pupils of orphanages. There will also be veterans of the North Ossetia with relatives, as well as people with limited mobility and pensioners - computer literacy courses are provided for them.

Further plans include the launch on the basis of the center of the children's and youth school of e-sports, a club for the training of professionals and programs for teaching digital professions. According to Beglov, this will contribute to the education of personnel for the Russian IT industry and ensure the country's technological leadership in the future.

As noted in the city administration, the opening of the state e-sports center in St. Petersburg is a unique project for Russia, which testifies to the integrated approach of the city authorities to digitalization and the development of advanced technologies.^[1]
