2023: Kievskaya Ploshchad Group bought 10% in Express LLC
Kievskaya Ploshchad Group bought a stake in the company in the field of automated trade of Express LLC. The corresponding entry appeared in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL) in mid-September 2023.
As Kommersant writes with reference to this register, another 40% of Express belongs to Elena Dmitrienko, the rest belongs to Interindustrial Investment Agency JSC (MIA). The latter in 2016 signed an agreement with the metro for the placement of non-stationary trading facilities, the newspaper points out.
Express LLC rents in the Moscow metro for vending machines. The growth of passenger traffic of the Moscow subway against the background of the opening of new stations should positively affect the turnover of vending machine operators, said Mikhail Burmistrov, head of Infoline Analytics. However, the growth of the Russian vending market as a whole is slowing down, including due to the limited operation of some airports, he notes.
Transport hubs with high traffic are considered one of the most profitable locations for placing vending machines, said Sergey Kaledin, Operations Director of Uvenco Group of Companies, a large supplier of vending machines. Metro passengers, however, are more price-sensitive than office staff or passengers at airports, he pointed out.
Due to a sharp increase in the exchange rate and tougher sanctions, vending machine operators today are experiencing difficulties with the supply of equipment and spare parts, says Vadim Shilenko, general director of the Megas operator. According to him, if earlier a large market share fell on Italian machines, then by September 2023 there is a reorientation to Chinese, which may be inferior in quality.
Kievskaya Ploshchad is one of the main owners of commercial real estate in Russia. Among the group's assets are the Ukraine Hotel, the Evropeyskiy shopping center, the Food City and Sadovod markets. Investors descend on [1]
