Film Foundation

The Federal Fund for Social and Economic Support of Domestic Cinematography (Film Fund) was organized in 1994.

The main tasks are:

• promoting the implementation of socio-economic programs in the field of domestic cinematography;
• providing financial support to domestic film production and cinema rental, as well as cinematography workers;
• attracting Russian and foreign investors to finance the production and rental of Russian cinema and video products.

History

2024: Tatyana Golikova appointed Chairman of the Council of the Cinema Foundation

In June 2024, Tatyana Golikova was appointed chairman of the council of the Cinema Fund. The corresponding document was signed by the Chairman of the Government of Russia Mikhail Mishustin.

Earlier, the Council of the Federal Fund for Social and Economic Support of Domestic Cinematography was headed by Vladimir Tolstoy. He, as well as the chairman of the board of the Soyuzmultfilm film studio Yuliana Slashcheva and director Vladimir Khotinenko were expelled from the council.

The council included producer Gabriel Gordeev, producer Ilya Popov and director Sergei Ursulyak. The post of deputy chairman of the council was taken by the deputy head of the government apparatus Denis Molchanov.
