2020: Fort Ross Ventures created the third fund for 8 billion rubles

On September 10, 2020 Fort Ross Ventures announced creation of the third fund. Its size is 8 billion rubles. From this amount to 2 billion rubles it intends to enclose Sberbank.

Fort Ross Seed Fund is intended for investment into startups at early stages (a round And yes a sowing stage). It is supposed that the fund will support up to 200 developers, having given support to the companies from Russia and neighboring countries which want to develop the startups on the international scene. Besides, the fund will consider also the projects from other countries having the Russian roots or essential perspectives of development of the products and services in Russia.

In addition to investments Fort Ross Ventures will help the companies with an exit to international market and integration into ecosystems of the largest Russian companies, including Sberbank.

Fort Ross Ventures created the third fund for 8 billion rubles

Fort Ross Ventures specializes in investments into startups into the USA, Israel and Russia from spheres of financial and cloud computing, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, security and also marketplaces. The volume of the first fund was $110 million, the main investor entered Sberbank which provided Sberbank. $235 million from which 20% — from Sberbank were attracted to the second fund.

The founder and the managing partner of Fort Ross Ventures Victor Orlovsky noted that they in the second fund act as partners MegaFon, NLMK, X5, etc.[1]
