2025: Olesya Starzhinskaya, who was responsible for the digitalization of Rostov Medical University, was appointed deputy governor of the Rostov Region
On October 20, 2025, Olesya Starzhinskaya, who previously held senior positions at Rostov State Medical University (RostGMU), was appointed deputy governor of the Rostov Region. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of the region Yuri Slyusar. Read more here.
2024: General Director of the UAC appointed head of the Rostov region
On November 4, 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree appointing the General Director of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of the Rostec state corporation) Yuri Slyusar to the post of interim head of the Rostov region.
