2024

8.7 billion rubles were allocated for the purchase of 7 thousand medical devices in hospitals in the Rostov region

By the end of 2024, medical institutions in the Rostov region will receive almost 7 thousand units of new medical equipment worth more than ₽8,7 billion. This was announced in September 2024 by the press service of the regional government.

Deliveries will significantly update the technical base of the region's health care. The main purpose of the purchase is to improve the quality of medical services in public hospitals and clinics in the region.

According to Delovaya Gazeta. South, "most of the supplies have already taken place: from January to August 2024, over 6 thousand pieces of equipment were received at the regional hospitals. According to the Ministry of Health of the region, work on updating equipment will continue in subsequent years. In particular, in 2025 it is planned to continue deliveries, increasing the technical equipment of medical institutions. In 2023, 3.8 thousand units of medical equipment were purchased, which is significantly less than the volume planned for 2024.

Medical institutions of the Rostov region will receive almost 7 thousand units of new medical equipment worth more than ₽8,7 billion

According to the Minister of Health of the Rostov Region Yuri Kobzev, modern technologies are already being actively introduced into the region's health care system. For example, a new angiographic complex was put into operation in Belaya Kalitva, a video gastroscope was restored in the Rostov Regional Clinical Hospital, and a universal X-ray system was installed in the Kamensky District. This equipment will significantly improve the diagnosis and treatment of patients, increasing the level of medical services.

It is noted that in parallel with the development of state programs, there is a significant increase in demand for paid medical services in the region. In the first half of 2024, demand for paid medical services increased by 27%, which is associated with an increase in interest in quality and rapid medical care. The average check for such services increased by 18%, which indicates an increase in the availability of private medicine for residents of the region.[1]
