History
2025: Launch of a car body production plant in the Kaliningrad region for ₽580 million
In the Kaliningrad region, a new plant for the production of automobile bodies worth ₽580 million has been launched, of which ₽115 million are aimed at robotizing production. Production processes at the enterprise are fully automated, and body assembly is carried out by industrial robots. The plant, opened by the engineering company Grunwald in February 2025, is located on the territory of the Khrabrovo technopark.
The company has two production workshops with a total area of 4,000 square meters. m, equipped with all the necessary industrial infrastructure. Industrial robots are installed in the workshops that weld the bases of the bodies.
In theThe founder of Grunwald, Alexei Drach, noted that the appearance of a technopark in Khrabrovo provided the company with good development opportunities. According to him, the company plans to increase the production of the most popular models in agricultural transportation - dump semi-trailers with aluminum bodies with a volume of 44 and 52 cubic meters. m.
For the first time in the history of the company, the production process of aluminum bodies is completely localized at the new production site. The installed machine tools also made it possible to establish the production of sides and bases for steel dump bodies from the line of road construction equipment.
The plant is located in the zone of the developing Khrabrovo technopark, next to the main air harbor of the Kaliningrad region. The size of the site allows the company to develop an industrial site and build new workshops and warehouses.
During its 18 years of operation, Grunwald, which specializes in the production of commercial vehicles including semi-trailers, trailers and freight superstructures, launched industrial production at five sites. The total number of vehicles produced exceeds 20 thousand units.[1]
2024: Investing 1 billion rubles in the creation of a new plant in the Moscow region
Kaliningrad caravan manufacturer Grunwald will invest 1 billion rubles in the creation of a new plant in the Moscow region. Mikhail Bagin, head of the company's marketing department, spoke about this on February 1, 2024.
According to him, the construction of the enterprise will begin during the first quarter of 2024, and its commissioning is scheduled for mid-2025. The project provides for the construction of a building with an area of 10 thousand square meters. meters on a plot of 12 hectares. It will house the production and administrative part. The central sales office will also be concentrated there, Interfax reports with reference to Bagin.
It is noted that in the Kaliningrad region the company has four production sites. The new building in the central part of the country will take over part of the operations to speed up work, in particular delivery times. The new plant will begin production using parts produced in Kaliningrad with a large assembly. The company will launch the production of main semi-trailers: storm, onboard, semi-trailers-refrigerators, in the future also semi-trailers-container ships.
If now the company produces about 4,000 units of equipment per year, then with the launch of a new enterprise, the volume of products produced only at the first stage will increase to 5000-7000... The next stage in our development is an enterprise in the center of the country, which will take over part of production operations to speed up the execution of contracts and reduce the delivery time for products, "added Mikhail Bagin in early February 2024. |
By this date, Grunwald is one of the largest manufacturers of trailed equipment in Russia. The headquarters and main production areas are located in the Kaliningrad region.[2]
