Holding ") received a certificate of compliance with the technical regulations EEU for the serial production of a number of models smartphones under the Highscreen brand. Thus, the production of devices under this brand is resumed.
The Highscreen brand began its development in Russia in 2003. Under this brand, in particular, computers, tablets and peripherals were produced. The first Highscreen smartphones appeared on the Russian market in 2009. So, it was Highscreen that released the PP5420 model - the world's first smartphone running Android with two displays, as well as the first device officially sold in the Russian Federation based on the specified OS. In 2011, the Highscreen Zeus device appeared - the first smartphone officially sold in the Russian Federation with a QWERTY keyboard on the Android platform. However, subsequently, the Highscreen brand began to experience fierce competition from Chinese suppliers and in 2020 stopped producing gadgets.
According to the Vedomosti newspaper, the production of Russian Highscreen smartphones will resume in China. The certificate required for the production and sale of devices in the EAEU countries (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia) is issued for three Highscreen models - 13 Lite, 13M and 13 Max5.
Highscreen smartphones will be promoted by the aforementioned enterprise of Media Holding JSC. Its founder is Alexander Kalinin, founder of the National Computer Corporation (NCC). Earlier, Kalinin said that he was going to resume production of Highscreen smartphones and was considering both the production of devices at Russian factories and contract production at Chinese factories. The Android OS will be used as a software platform on these gadgets.[1]
