This is evidenced by the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL). The newspaper "" was the first to draw attention to this Kommersant(the article was published on November 13, 2023).

As the publication writes with reference to the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) register, the BFI holding is owned by Faruk Ener, Oleg Barvin, Elena Zavarzina, Andrei Osavolyuk and Sergey Kudinov. Faruk Ener was the CEO of BAT for Turkey, Russia the Caucasus, Central Asia and Oleg Belarus Barvin headed the legal department, and the position of Elena Zavarzina LinkedIn listed BAT marketing director in the Russian Federation.

Osavolyuk is a former co-owner of the Russian division of Global Functional Drinks, which supplied Fresh Bar, E-ON and Tornado Energy drinks (according to SPARK, he owned 42% of the company). They are part of the portfolio of the SNA group of companies, the BAT distributor in Russia. Kudinov headed the structure of the SNS Center group, which ceased operations in 2018.

ITMS told Kommersant that BFI Holding is the owner of the group. The group noted that the holding is a consortium of Russian investors and top management of the company, "none of whose representatives work in the global BAT." The SNA told the newspaper that the group was not involved in the deal.

The source of the publication says that the presence of persons among the founders of BFI Holding who may be associated with the SNA probably speaks of raising funds for the transaction. The former BAT management controls ITMS, which will allow BAT to return to asset ownership while stabilizing the situation, the source added.[2]
