Performance indicators

2023: Revenue growth to RUB 8.6 billion

Il de Bote's revenue in 2023 amounted to 8.6 billion rubles against 5.71 billion rubles a year earlier (these and other indicators are given in accordance with Russian accounting standards/RAS/). The company's net losses in comparison with the same segments of time decreased from 2.56 billion to 1.5 billion rubles. This is evidenced by the data of the Kontur. Focus service, which TAdviser got acquainted with in July 2024.

It follows from these materials that the cost of sales of Il de Bote in 2023 reached 4.84 billion rubles, an increase from 2.87 billion rubles in 2022. The retailer's gross profit increased from 2.84 billion to 3.76 billion rubles, and sales losses decreased from 2.78 billion to 981.8 million rubles.

Il de Bote revenue in 2023 amounted to 8.6 billion rubles

The commercial expenses of the chain of cosmetics and perfume stores in Russia in 2023 amounted to 4.74 billion rubles, which does not reach the same costs a year ago in 5.62 billion rubles. The company's accounts payable in 2023 amounted to 1.72 billion rubles against 821.3 million rubles a year earlier. Accounts receivable increased from 365.5 million to 465.4 million rubles.

The owner of the Il de Bote chain, Evgeny Drozdov, commented to RBC on the company's financial performance:

All that relates to the statistics of both the past [2023] and previous years is the statistics of the previous shareholder and is completely irrelevant to the strategy and tactics that we are implementing now. In terms of marginality, the absolute value has not changed, but the structure has changed. Previously, a fairly large share of marketing investments from brands was present in the marginality structure. Now the promotion has been shifted to our shoulders, but the commercial conditions have been changed so that we remain interested. We are a high-margin company and belong to the premium high-margin business format.

2022

Change of ownership

According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, from December 1, 2022, Evgeny Nikolaevich Drozdov became the owner of Il de Bote JSC.

Plan to sell the network to a Russian manager amid the conflict in Ukraine

In July 2022, amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, it was announced that Sephora would sell Russian boutiques under the Ile de Beauté brand to a local director, AFP.

As of March 2022, Sephora was the owner of Il de Bote.

2016: Consolidation of 100% owner of Ile de Beaute by Sephora

In November 2016, Sephora (part of Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, LVMH) consolidated 100% of the Cypriot company Galonta Holdings Limited, which owns Ile de Beaute.[1]

2013:148 stores in Russia

In 2013, the network included 148 stores in the largest cities of Russia, including Moscow.

ILE DE BEAUTE stores (OJSC "United Europe - S.B.") have more than 300 leading world brands of perfumes, decorative cosmetics and care products.

2008: Sephora takes 45% stake in chain

In 2008, Sephora acquired a 45% stake in the Russian chain Ile de Beaute.
