Laboratory of virtual reality and the complemented VRLab Iliauni visualization

At the State university of Eli based on Institute of development of the child at the beginning of 2017 the first in Georgia opened "Laboratory of virtual reality and the complemented visualization" (VRLab Iliauni). It is equipped with the equipment which allows to create modelirovanny and simulyatsionny applications. Authors of the project hope that VRLab Iliauni will facilitate to students educational process and will help the academic personnel to conduct researches. The financial support to the project was given by Kredo microfinance institution^[1]

In VRLab Iliauni there are devices of virtual reality – a helmet glasses, cameras, sensors and other devices. Specialists say that the new equipment will allow to practice in different technicians of data visualization and creation of software applications. They show how by means of technologies of augmented reality it is possible to model programs, virtually to travel around the countries, to design buildings, to create interactive modules of education and to realize other ideas.

At Institute of development of the child at VRLab Iliauni are going to use VR technologies for work with children with special needs. Here say that new technologies have high potential of practical application. According to the director of Institute Tinatin Chincharauli, around the world similar programs help children to adapt with special needs to reality and to develop social skills. She tells about future applications which are going to be created in laboratory.
