2024: Resort construction begins
NAO "Krasnaya Polyana" is starting the second stage of construction of the all-season mountain resort "Lagonaki" in Adygea. This became known in November 2024. The total investment in the project has been increased from ₽35 billion to ₽60 billion.
The first stage of construction includes the construction of a hotel complex for 642 rooms, six suspended cable cars and more than 25 kilometers of ski slopes. The completion of the stage is scheduled for the end of 2024.
The Deputy governments Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko Chairman noted that after the completion of construction, the tourist flow to Adygea may double - up to 1 million visitors per year.
The head of Adygea Murat Kumpilov stressed the strategic importance of the tourism industry for the region. ₽6,6 billion has been allocated for the development of supporting infrastructure within the framework of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry."
At the end of the second stage, by 2030 the resort will include 36 kilometers of ski slopes and a hotel complex with 3 thousand rooms. It is also planned to build mountain baths, spa complexes and restaurants.

In 2021, the project received the status of a large-scale investment project, which provides for a number of preferences for the investor. Implementation is carried out on the basis of public-private partnership.
The new resort will complement the existing tourism directions in the region, including environmental, event, gastronomic and rural tourism, contributing to the integrated development of the tourism industry in Adygea.[1]
In the future, it is planned to connect three resorts - Arkhyz, Krasnaya Polyana and Lagonaki into a single ski cluster.
