History

2022: Start of production of fully domestic cables for heat tracing systems

The Leader-Compound company launched in Saransk in Mordovia launched the production of fully domestic cables for electrical heating systems. Part of the funds for the purchase of equipment was provided by the Industrial Development Fund, which announced this on July 12, 2022.

At this production, the company intends to produce 6.5 thousand km of heating cables per year. Investments in the creation of import-substituting production exceeded 270 million, rubles of which 96.5 million rubles - a preferential loan of the Development Fund industries under the flagship program "Development Projects."

The self-regulating heating cable consists of a self-developed heating matrix (two copper cores and an electrically conductive polymer), an insulating polymer, a metal braid (screen) and an external shell. All components are domestic, the localization level is 100%.

Such cables are used for protection against icing of buildings, drains, for protection against freezing of equipment in winter, heating of oil and oil products pipelines. Due to their high flexibility, they can be laid on almost any surface.

Thanks to the launch of this production, the share of foreign manufacturers in the market of self-regulating heating cables in Russia, according to the company, will decrease from about 65% to 25%.

The main consumers of finished products will be construction retailers cable plants and oil gas companies.

2020:100 million rubles from the FRP

In 2020, the company, with the involvement of a loan from the FRP in the amount of 100 million rubles, launched the production of low-combustible composite materials (compounds) for low-voltage cables (up to 6 kV). They are intended for laying in kindergartens, schools, hospitals, metro, nuclear power plant systems and other critical facilities.
