2022: Plans to stop the supply of important drugs to Russia

In November 2022, against the background of the conflict in Ukraine, the American MSD, which distributes the drug "Simponi" (golimumab) from J&J in Russia, plans to stop its import into the Russian Federation.

"Simponi" is intended for the therapy of rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, the drug has no analogues in Russia yet, and it is included in the list of VEDs. MSD in mid-2022 had already warned of plans to stop supplying a range of drugs, including vaccines to prevent chickenpox and measles, rubella and mumps.
