2024: Creation of MTS iCar

MTS PJSC creates its own design bureau of MTS AiKar LLC, which will develop and implement high-tech solutions and electronics for the automotive industry in the structure of the enterprise for the production of auto components in Alabushevo. MTS iCar LLC is integrated into the vertical of the Group - MTS Auto. The company announced this on January 26, 2024.

As part of the implementation of tasks on to import substitution key technological solutions, MTS AiKar LLC will develop design documentation ON for production, automobile electronic engineers which will be used at the local plant in the SEZ. " Technopolice Alabushevo The company will become the scientific and technical center of MTS Auto, performing the functions of a design bureau, laboratory and pilot production. In addition, the division will search for alternative scarce solutions and technologies in the the Russian the Asian markets.

The company plans to provide the enterprises of the domestic automotive industry with services for engineering, prototyping, providing technical documentation and supervision in the development and implementation of digital solutions, helping them in creating their own intangible assets. By order of the automakers, MTS iKar will undertake the development and execution of R&D documentation for the implementation of SPIC contracts (special investment contract) within the framework of 719 decisions of the Government of the Russian Federation on the localization of production facilities.

MTS iCar will be responsible for providing direct interaction with R&D departments of automakers and component suppliers, conducting research and implementation of prototypes on its own installation and development base. To ensure the possibility of creating in the future its own car platform for MTS, iCar will create its own pilot production.

The creation of its own scientific and experimental platform within the framework of the enterprise for the production of digital solutions for cars is a necessary and significant part of the implementation of the MTS Auto strategy. The development and integration of our own solutions will allow us to fully implement the tasks of import substitution of high-tech developments, answering the key needs of the domestic automotive industry and ensuring its autonomy from the impact of the external environment. As of January 2024, our plant in Alabushevo is undergoing a stage of assurance about compliance with operational requirements. We are already in communication with leading auto enterprises, analyzing their requests both for the production and for the development and engineering of the necessary digital solutions, which could not be implemented without the work of the design bureau. We expect to attract high-quality experts in the field of development.
