2025: Building a Company

Entrepreneur Mikhail Prokhorov established a new universal insurance company LLC SK Mediana with an authorized capital of ₽300 million and acts as the beneficiary of this organization. Registration of the company in Moscow is completed with the minimum amount of authorized capital required for insurance activities. Information on the creation of a new insurer appeared in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities on July 14, 2025.

According to Interfax, in the capital structure of SK Mediana LLC, a controlling stake of 99.95% belongs to Businessinform LLC, where Prokhorov's share is 99.99%. The remaining 0.050% is owned by BONA Sport LLC, which specializes in sports activities.

BONA Sport LLC has an authorized capital of ₽20 thousand and controls five subsidiaries, including Interkonsento LLC. The latter company plays an important role in the structure of the insurance business associated with Prokhorov's assets.

Sergey Pechnikov, who previously served as director of corporate underwriting at Soglasie LLC, has been appointed general director of the new insurance company. Experience in a large universal insurance company should contribute to the development of a new project in the competitive environment of the Russian insurance market.

Interkonsento LLC is a significant shareholder of another universal insurance company Soglasie, known on the Russian market, which has been operating since 1999. The authorized capital of Soglasie IC is ₽6 billion, which significantly exceeds the capital of the new Mediana company.

Mikhail Prokhorov had experience in the insurance business, although his main activities were related to metallurgy, finance and investments. Earlier, together with partner Vladimir Potanin, through the Interros holding, he acquired a controlling stake in the SOGAZ insurance company. At that time, the company was in a difficult financial situation, but thanks to restructuring and investment, it became one of the largest insurance groups in Russia. Then Prokhorov and Potanin divided the assets, and SOGAZ completely came under the control of Potanin.^[1]
