The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic of Buryatia, abbreviated name - Ministry of Natural Resources of the Republic of Belarus, is the executive body of state power of the Republic of Buryatia, which performs the functions of developing state policy and legal regulation in the field of use, reproduction and protection (protection) of natural resources, including subsoil, water bodies, forests located on lands of specially protected natural areas of regional importance, wildlife objects and their habitat, in the field of hunting, monitoring of the environment, its pollution, as well as participation in the development and implementation of state policy and legal regulation in the field of environmental protection, including issues related to the management of production and consumption waste, specially protected natural areas of regional importance and state environmental expertise, protection of atmospheric air, in the field of forest relations, the performance of state functions and the provision of public services within the limits of the powers granted[1].
History
2021: Renamed the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic of Buryatia
By decree of the Head of the Republic of Buryatia dated January 21, 2021 No. 8, the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Republic of Buryatia was renamed the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic of Buryatia. It was established that the functional department of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic of Buryatia houses the Republican Service for the Protection, Control and Regulation of the Use of Wildlife Objects Classified as Hunting Objects, Control and Supervision in the Field of Nature Management and the Republican Forestry Agency[2].
