2024:1 billion rubles for medical equipment. The results of the implementation of the national project "Healthcare" in Mari El have been summed up
The Republic of Mari El has allocated more than ₽1 billion for the purchase of modern medical equipment within the framework of the national project "Healthcare" over the past five years. This became known in July 2024. The total amount of funding for measures of the national project in the region exceeded ₽11 billion.
According to the Ministry of Health of the Republic, the implementation of the national project "Healthcare" made it possible to significantly improve the material and technical base of medical institutions of Mari E. For the period from 2019 to 2024, about 200 units of modern high-tech medical equipment were put into operation in the region.
Within the framework of the project, 18 feldsher-midwife stations were created in the republic, which significantly increased the availability of primary medical care in rural areas. 11 mobile medical complexes were purchased to serve remote settlements. In addition, the fleet of medical institutions was replenished with 30 new cars, which improved the transport accessibility of medical services.
Particular attention during the implementation of the national project was paid to the development of specialized medical care. Three cancer care centers have been opened in Mari El, which has increased the quality and availability of diagnostics and treatment of cancer.
The modernization also affected the emergency medical care system. During the reporting period, air ambulance made 134 departures, during which 143 patients in need of urgent specialized care were transported.
New models for organizing the work of medical institutions are also being actively introduced in the region. The principles of the new model of medical organization are implemented in 17 children's and five adult clinics. In 2023, it is planned to expand this experience by another 26 clinics.
Infrastructure changes in the health care system of Mari El continue. In 2024, the construction of four healthcare facilities is underway, as well as a major overhaul of the ophthalmic consultative and diagnostic department of the Republican Clinical Hospital.[1][2][3]
