Ministry of Roads, Transport and Communications of the Republic of Karelia

Ministry of Roads, Transport and Communications of the Republic of Karelia (Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Karelia) is the executive authority of the Republic of Karelia, carrying out state policy and carrying out functions in the field of road facilities, transport and communications (The Regulation on the Ministry of Roads, Transport and Communications of the Republic of Karelia was approved by Decree of the Government of the Republic of Karelia dated 23.10.2017 ^[1]).

History

2017: Transformation into Ministry

In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Karelia dated 26.09.2017 No. 326-P, the State Committee of the Republic of Karelia on Road Facilities, Transport and Communications was transformed into the Ministry of Road Facilities, Transport and Communications of the Republic of Karelia.

2016: Transformation into the State Committee of the Republic of Karelia on Road Facilities, Transport and Communications

By the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Karelia dated 21.04.2016 No. 151-P, the Committee was transferred the functions of communication from the State Committee of the Republic of Karelia for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies and the State Committee of the Republic of Karelia for Transport was transformed into the State Committee of the Republic of Karelia for Road Facilities, Transport and Communications.

2013: Formation of the State Transport Committee of the Republic of Karelia

By the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Karelia dated 17.06.2013 No. 187-P, the State Transport Committee of the Republic of Karelia was formed and the functions in the field of transport were transferred to it from the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Karelia and by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Karelia dated 09.07.2013 No. 215-P in the field of road activities from the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Karelia.
