History

2023: Network and Oil Well Cable Start-up

In November 2023, Moskabel launched the production of new cables in the Moscow Region, in which more than 530 million rubles were invested (of which 262 million rubles were received by the company in the form of a preferential loan under the flagship program "Development Projects" by the Federal Industrial Development Fund). The plant began to manufacture heating and geophysical load-carrying cables for oil wells, communication and control cables necessary for geophysical and geological research, as well as high-pressure capillary pipelines.

It is noted that cable products will be produced entirely from domestic raw materials. In the future, it will be able to be used in extreme conditions. For example, geophysical load-carrying cables for oil wells will be used for lowering, lifting, communication and power supply of geophysical instruments and devices at temperature drops from - 88 to + 300.

The project was conceived and launched to promote Russian products to replace imported analogues and became even more relevant in connection with the decision of the main importing companies of cable and conductor products to leave Russia, "said Pavel Moryakov, general director of Moskabel Plant LLC.

According to him, thanks to this project, the share of imports in the market of cable products for the oil and gas industry will decrease from 16% to 5%.

According to the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region on November 9, 2023, after production reaches its design capacity, they will be able to produce up to 6 thousand kilometers of products per year. Among the main consumers of new types of cable products are Gazprom, Novatek, Gazpromneft, Norilsk Nickel, Gazpromnedra, Mosinzhproekt, Russian Railways, NLMK and other domestic companies.[1]
