The charter of the partnership was approved by Emperor Nicholas II of Russia on June 29, 1895. The Moskabelmet Group of Companies was formed on the basis of the production workshops of Moskabelmet CJSC, which traces its pedigree to the Partnership for the Operation of Electricity M.M. Dobodedov and Co.

The company combines six main industries of cable and conductor products: low and medium voltage power cables, fiber-optic cables, colored rolled products, contact and non-insulated wires, winding and enameled wires of rectangular and round cross-section, copper wire rod and wire, as well as transposed wires. In addition, Moskabelmet Group includes enterprises of system integration, service, sales of IT equipment and software.

Moskabelmet Group of Companies is the author of a number of innovative developments, including more than 40 patented models. The factories of the group of companies produce various types of energy cables, fiber-optic communication cables, copper rod.

2023: Obtaining patents for 15 developments

One of the representatives of the domestic cable and conductor products market in 2023 received 15 certificates of registration of intellectual property rights. This was announced on October 13, 2023 by the Minister of the Government of Moscow, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky.

Favorable conditions have been created in Moscow for the opening and development of production facilities. Various special statuses, subsidies, investment loans and other support measures give manufacturers significant tax benefits, which allows them to direct the proceeds to their own development, expand the product line, develop modern solutions and obtain patents for them. So, since the beginning of 2023, one of the cable and conductor manufacturers Moskabelmet has received another 15 such certificates. Now the company has more than 60 patents for inventions and utility models, trademarks and software, - said Vladislav Ovchinsky.

Among the patented developments are a power cable with a protective light-emitting shell, an optical sensor cable for monitoring conditions during oil and gas production, a cable with a corrugated armor shell, which has high mechanical strength. The company's specialists also developed and patented a method and system for automated quality control of talc cable.

Four more patents were received for IT solutions that are engaged in the Mositlab enterprise, which is part of the group of companies.

So, here they developed a software complex for quality control of technological processes "Sokol" and the "ORDER 3.0" system, designed to register applications from tenants, order internal services, issue and control passes for visitors and transport. As well as the application solution 1C: "CoMod," which helps to automate and integrate mathematical calculations with the data of the enterprise management information system, and the APS INFIMUM program, which allows you to create production plans for the enterprise by calculating the optimal sequence of operations.

We also received patents for two trademarks "FOSD" and "FOST." This is a large group of products, which includes equipment for monitoring and monitoring electricity, optical fiber cables, optical instruments and instruments, measuring instruments, information processing devices. Our company will continue to increase the number of its own patents and does not plan to slow down. In 2022, Moskabelmet received the status of an industrial complex, which gives it significant tax breaks from the city and allows it to invest the saved funds in equipment and infrastructure.
