2022: Canon bought NXC Imaging

On July 18, 2022, it became known that Canon Medical Systems bought NXC Imaging, which supplies medical imaging equipment. Its participants did not disclose the cost of the transaction.

Located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, NXC Imaging was founded in 1964 and has been a partner at Canon for over 33 years (by July 2022). The company distributes and services MRI, CT, vascular, ultrasound, X-ray and C-shaped scanners for the company, as well as for Carestream and Ziehm.

With this deal, Canon will commercialize more of its Upper Midwest CT, PET, MRI, X-ray, vascular imaging and ultrasound portfolios and tailor its solutions to each customer's individual needs. In addition, the company will also continue to develop its sales and service organization in this region.

The acquisition of NXC Imaging is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2022. The cost of the acquisition was not disclosed.[1]
