2024: NCC became the sole owner of the "National Platform "
On November 5, 2024, it became known that the Russian holding National Computer Corporation (NCC) bought out a 19 percent stake in the Brazilian IT developer Totvs in their joint venture National Platform. There is no information on the amount of the transaction as of the specified date.
According to RBC, as a result of the transaction, NCC became the sole owner of the National Platform, which is engaged in the creation of an ERP system (enterprise resource planning) called Ma-3. This product is expected to occupy a niche between 1C and SAP in terms of price and performance. Among the potential consumers of Ma-3 are Russian organizations of the military-industrial complex, state corporations and large enterprises of a federal scale.
As part of the deal, the Brazilian side completely withdrew from the project. Despite this, believes Nikolai Mokretsov, partner and executive director of 1C Pro Consulting, the Ma-3 platform may occupy part of the Russian market, provided that the solution is competitive and provides the necessary functionality. Mokretsov emphasizes that the leader of the ERP segment in the Russian Federation as of the end of 2024 is 1C, while Ma-3 is not known at all in the market.
In turn, Mikhail Bocharov, deputy general director for science for the developer of industrial software "SeaSoft Development," says that regardless of the reasons, the withdrawal of Totvs from the project will have a positive impact on the future of "Ma-3." According to him, ERP is a very important, integral part of any company, and replacing such a platform sometimes requires a review of business processes. At the same time, foreign participation in critical national projects of Russian companies creates certain risks. Kirill Semion, General Director of the National Competence Center for Holding Information Management Systems (NCC ISU), also believes that the release of Totvs will positively affect the further strategy and operational activities of the National Platform[1]
