History

2024: First lithography lasers produced in Russia

The Ministry of Industry and Trade said on September 26 that the first prototypes of an excimer laser were produced at the Lassard Group of Companies, which is key for the lithographic process of manufacturing microelectronics with design standards up to 65 nm.

The excimer laser, prototypes of which were produced today by the Lassard Group of Companies, allows us to say that we are getting closer to the production of lithographs at 130 nm (which will appear in 2026), and in the future - at 90 nm, - said Vasily Shpak, Deputy Minister of Industry for TAdviser. - The laser makes it possible to modify the characteristics towards a thinner topology. Moreover, I will say that we are already working in the future, developing materials and ordering work for 90 nm and 65 nm installations.

Lassard Group acts as the developer of an excimer laser for a lithograph. The lithographic installation itself is being developed by the Zelenograd Nanotechnology Center (ZNTC). Its delivery time is 2026, but potential customers already have it. First of all, this is, of course, Micron, which is interested in scaling its production by 130 nm, 90 nm, and 65 nm, where, according to the latest topology, there is only experimental production. Naturally, the need to translate it into serial is great. However, this requires lithographic equipment with the appropriate exposure accuracy.

Next year, lasers developed by the Lassard Group of Companies will be delivered to the ZNTC for testing together with a 130 nm lithograph, - explained Vasily Shpak. - After 2026, these lasers will go into mass production - at least 5 pieces per year will be produced. Similar lasers have never been produced in Russia. In general, they are produced by only two companies in the world - Cymer (USA) and Gigaphoton (Japan).

However, five lithographic installations per year are already a good result, since they will allow you to launch and scale the already existing production in Russia and establish the industrial production of domestic microelectronics, in particular, such chips as the Amur MIK32, using the RISC-V command system.

2023

Development of four laser machines

The Moscow company has developed four laser machines. This was announced on June 19, 2023 by the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky.

The engineering industry for June 2023 in the city is represented by more than 200 enterprises, which employ over 20 thousand people. Companies produce a wide range of products - from industrial robots to freight elevators. At the same time, they are constantly expanding their range. Thus, the Moscow enterprise "LASSARD," whose production site is located on the territory of the special economic zone "Technopolice Moscow," has developed four laser machines. Now the company's product line includes 25 types of products. More than 400 pieces of equipment are planned to be produced per year, - said Vladislav Ovchinsky.

The company specializes in the development and production of lasers, laser systems and equipment based on them. Among the developments are a portal cleaning complex that removes rust and contamination from large sheet materials, a five-axis laser cutting machine that specializes in ceramic processing, a laser machine with a pipe processing system, and a laser engraver with a ribbon web that automatically supplies more than a thousand products per hour to the processing area.

The range was expanded largely due to the scaling of production facilities - since April 2023, we have been developing and assembling machines on the territory of the special economic zone "Technopolice Moscow." Thanks to a large product line and developments that have no analogues in the world, the company meets one hundred percent of the needs of the domestic market in laser equipment, "said Oleg Nefedov, General Director of the enterprise.

The manufacturer's products are used in the aviation and automotive industries, microelectronics, aerospace and many others.

The development of its own production sites in Moscow allows manufacturers to actively increase sales volumes, find new partners and enter new sales markets. Metropolitan enterprises can take advantage of more than 20 systemic measures to support the city, including subsidies and targeted loans. In addition, a number of anti-crisis tools have been developed.

Start of laser production for 230 million rubles

On April 13, 2023, the mayor Moscow Sergei Sobyanin and deputy chairman Governments of the Russian Federation Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov took part in the ceremony of launching the production of lasers and laser equipment on the territory of the special economic zone (SEZ) "." Technopolice Moscow We are talking about the project of the company "Lassard," in which about 230 million were invested. The rubles company has created 140 jobs with an average monthly salary of 130 thousand rubles.

The capacity of the plant allows the production of up to a thousand lasers and more than 400 units of equipment for laser processing of metals per year, including:

  • Optimum F laser cutting machines (analogue of the Swiss Bystronic DNE 1530 and the Turkish Ermaksan Fibermak);
  • Cleaner Portal (no analogues);
  • excimer laser CL 7700 (analogue of the German Zeiss Mel 90);
  • Visum ophthalmic system (an analogue of the American LenSx system);
  • solid-state quantron LS-Q3-1064 CW (analogue of the device of the American company Northrop Grumman);
  • two-kilowatt fiber lasers (analogues of the American IPG and Coherent).

According to the website of the mayor of Moscow, Moscow consumers buy about 40% of the products of the Lassard group of companies. The rest is supplied to 40 regions of Russia, and it is also exported to seven countries of the world - Belarus, Greece, Kazakhstan, China, Cuba, Tajikistan and South Korea. Most (70%) of the main production equipment and components are produced in Russia, 30% are imported from abroad.[1]
