According to data presented in the financial statements of the group of companies for 2023, On April 1, 2024, Astra Group entered into several options for the purchase of an 80% stake in the VDC Caravan cloud service provider and a provider specializing in providing clouds with Rusonyx service for a cash reward in the amount of 438,800 thousand rubles to 313,100 thousand rubles, depending on the type of option. In addition, the Group received the right to purchase the remaining stake in these companies in the amount of 20% by value, which will be calculated depending on the market value of Astra Group shares.
A provider of cloud solutions Caravan (Caravan Aero brand) operates under the legal entity VDC Caravan LLC. It is noteworthy that the acquisition of Caravan Aero in November 2018 was reported by Rusonyx. As of April 3, 2024, VDC Caravan LLC and Rusonix LLC have the same founder: Konstantin Viktorovich Anisimov, who also acts as the general director of both companies.
Astra Group plans to provide its products and services to a wide range of corporate customers through the cloud. At the same time, an important vector, according to representatives of the group, will be working with medium-sized businesses. Customers from this segment will be able to access both products and support services in the cloud. Another significant area is the development and strengthening of cooperation with key cloud providers. The purpose of this interaction is to provide Astra Group software and services from their clouds. Thanks to such cooperation, Russian companies will be able to build distributed fault-tolerant infrastructures on the basis of a single product stack.

According to him, another important innovation is the transition to a recurrent business model, when a client receives continuous access to a product or services for regular payments. According to the plans of Astra Group, in 2027 half of the revenue will come from the cloud business model.
