Ilya Sivtsev began his professional career in 2007 as a sales manager at a company specializing in the distribution of electrical goods.

Gauss Ilya Sivtsev takes an active part in the process, is engaged in the distribution of Gauss products.

In 2010, Ilya Sivtsev and Denis Frolov announced the merger of their companies. It was a complete combination of businesses: assets, teams, offices, equipment. From that moment on, Ilya and Denis work together.

In 2012, Varton acquired a production site in the city of Bogoroditsk, Tula Region, opened its own production and entered the market of industrial LED lamps under the Varton brand name. Today, Varton and Gauss are symbol brands for effective energy conservation. As of June 2020, the Varton structure includes a laboratory and a research and production center with an area of ​ ​ 20 thousand meters of ² in Bogoroditsk, Tula Region. The company employs 600 people, more than half of them in production. The plant in Bogoroditsk independently carries out a full cycle of work on the creation and manufacture of lamps for professional lighting of streets, industrial buildings and warehouses, administrative buildings, shopping and entertainment complexes, schools and educational institutions. The Varton Design Bureau allows you to design and produce lamps both for mass production and for individual order. All the company's products meet the high requirements of European legislation and undergo mandatory and voluntary certification in Russia. The products are distributed through a dealer network, delivered to Russia, the CIS countries, some countries of Europe and Africa.

Varton is included in the list of organizations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation that have a significant impact on industries industries trade and Russia.

In 2015, partners invest in a laser products factory in the city of ObninskKaluga Region. A design bureau is created on the basis of the plant. The new team includes international professionals, doctors and candidates of sciences from Russia, Germany, Switzerland and China. The team specializes in the design, manufacture and sale of lasers, laser systems and equipment based on them. It does not focus on one area, but develops and manufactures equipment, systems and components for various industries and activities: microelectronics, medicine, energy industry, automotive and aircraft engineering, oil and gas industry, communications and telecommunications. The use of foreign and domestic scientific potential, high quality of products and attention to detail allow the company to successfully compete in the international arena, since now its production has no analogues in Russia.

In 2017, Ilya Sivtsev heads the IT direction of the Rusbitekh research and production association and is closely involved in system software. In the same year, the division developing OCAstra Linux stands out as an independent business unit - Astra Linux GC (the main legal entity is RusBITech-Astra LLC). The company is quickly gaining momentum and in a couple of years has become a prominent player in the Russian IT market and a leading domestic developer of basic software products - operating systems of the Astra Linux family and virtualization platforms. As of June 2020, Astra Linux is a comprehensive solution based on a domestic operating system. The company's products are in demand from federal services and departments, state authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and municipalities, state corporations and industrial enterprises. Over the past 2 years, the company has done a lot of work and seriously increased its customer base. Among the projects of major implementations are the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the Russian Guard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, subsidiaries of Rosatom, Gazprom, the Moscow metro, etc.
