2021: Epam bought Optiva Media
In mid-December 2021, Epam announced the purchase of Optiva Media. The financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.
With over 18 years of experience, Optiva Media is a media and telecommunications leader with deep knowledge of design, operation, media and metadata management, product design and development, research and technical consulting. In 2008, Optiva Media launched the first video on demand (VoD) system in Europe, and in 2011 also introduced the first OTT streaming platform in the region. Optiva Media industry products and accelerators also provide deep knowledge of media and virtual reality components, including Media Stream, XStream, Qaltiva, and Virtual Xpanse.
