2024: Increase to ₽9,6 billion in grants

According to the results of 2024, the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives (PFKI) increased the amount of financial support for projects in the field of culture, art and creative industries to ₽9,6 billion. TAdviser got acquainted with the data on the work of the fund in May 2025.

In 2024, almost 18 thousand applications were submitted for PFKI grants, of which 2072 projects received support. With a high level of competition in the competition, on average, every ninth application won. According to the publication, the winners of the competition additionally declared another ₽9,4 billion as their own and raised funds, which made it possible to ensure the level of co-financing of projects at 98%.

The Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives increased to ₽9,6 billion grants by the end of the year

According to the results of two competitions in 2023, the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives issued grants totaling about ₽8 billion. Thus, the volume of support in 2024 increased by ₽1,6 billion, or 20%.

In 2024, for the first time in the history of the fund, applications were submitted from all regions of the country, including new territories. To improve the quality of project preparation, PFKI project offices were opened in 14 regions. In total, in Russia, such offices operate in 21 subjects and help creative teams master the skills of socio-cultural design.

An important event in 2024 was the opening in November of the Far Eastern Representative Office of the PFKI in Khabarovsk. Its main task is to train creative teams of the Far Eastern Federal District in sociocultural design with the involvement of specialists from all regions of the district.

PFKI General Director Roman Karmanov said that the level of submitted projects is growing rapidly. According to him, the relevance, description of ideas and financial calculations in the applications have become more thoughtful and balanced. He also stressed that the analysis of the financial requests of grantees became the basis for deciding to increase the "financial corridors" for applications.[1]
