2022: Establishing a company

Former employees who Siemens Industries Software previously performed work on technical support and implementation software Siemens in, Russia created their own new company - "PLM Technologies." On August 26, 2022, TAdviser was told about this by the Konstantin Okulov co-founder and CEO of PLM Technology. According to him, this was done in order to preserve technical competencies and support domestic enterprises using Siemens software.

At the time of the start of the work of "PLM Technology" its team consists of 8 people, all of them are technical specialists. The company says that the existing knowledge of these specialists and technical capabilities allow them to perform the full range of work on the further maintenance and development of PLM solutions on the existing installation base for customers. At the same time, the state is currently expanding.

Among the areas that PLM Technologies plans to deal with is the refinement of the functionality on Siemens licenses available to enterprises. Konstantin Okulov says that the company has already gained a pool of projects, and some of them have already been successfully implemented.

But the new company is not going to limit itself to the maintenance and development of Siemens software installations. The plans also include the development of a domestic MES solution. As explained in "PLM Technology," his know-how is that it will be suitable for enterprises where the tools for technological preparation of production and ERP are not introduced. Potential customers of this MES are any discrete manufacturing enterprises, ranging from large to smaller ones without reference to the industry. As of August, the company is engaged in technical study of the architecture of this solution.

In addition, the development of tools and a package of consulting services for the painless migration of enterprises from Siemens solutions to domestic software is planned.

We assess the current level of demand for technical support and refinement of functionality on previously acquired Siemens licenses as high, - said the general director of PLM Technology. - We are convinced that it is necessary to approach a very important and necessary import substitution process rationally: not to replace Siemens solutions at enterprises with domestic software, which is not possible today, but to introduce previously acquired functionality, master it and help Russian vendors to formulate requirements for the development of domestic software, including relying on advanced foreign technologies, implementing them for the tasks of domestic enterprises.

In a number of areas, "PLM Technologies" are now actively engaged in the search for partnership and investment.

At Siemens, he was engaged in business development, having worked there for 10 years. The second co-founder is Oleg Kaminsky, who holds the position of development director at Technology PLM. At Siemens, he went a long way, more than 10 years. He worked as a solutions architect, project manager and service project preparation manager, participated in the implementation of new and changing existing business processes of companies using modern IT.

Oleg Kaminsky owns a 33% stake in the authorized capital of the new company, and the remaining part belongs to PLM Technology itself.

Siemens Industry Software, against the backdrop of a changed geopolitical situation, on May 12 announced the suspension of business in Russia and stopped providing technical support services. And in early July, her employees were fired. According to TAdviser, everyone, with the exception of a few people who are engaged in closing the office and legal formalities.
