2024: Creation of a company for the construction of a railway terminal for receiving containers for billions of rubles

In September 2024, the president of the Pharmasintez group of companies Vikram Punia registered a new company for the implementation of a large-scale project - the construction of a railway terminal in the Perm Territory. This project, worth billions of rubles, is designed to provide the region with modern infrastructure for receiving container cargo, including raw materials for the pharmaceutical industry.

According to him, Kommersant a new company called Railway Terminal LLC Perm was created in the village of Yuzhno-Kamsky, Perm Municipal District. The authorized capital of the organization amounted to ₽100 million, and the head was a former employee of the Ministry of transport Perm Territory Andrei Postnikov. The sole owner of the company is the president of Pharmasintez, one of the largest drug suppliers Russia in Vikram Punia. It is known that Punia is a co-owner of 14 companies operating in the fields pharmaceutics of development and sales, and his fortune is estimated at more than $1 billion.

A company has been created to build a railway terminal for receiving containers

Although there is no official information on the purpose of the terminal and the volume of investments by September 19, 2024, the company's registration address - Truda Street, 1 - indicates the possibility of building a terminal within the framework of the Perm Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Representatives of the SEZ confirmed that the application for obtaining resident status from Perm Railway Terminal LLC was not received. However, a source close to the regional authorities reports that the project is indeed planned for implementation in the zone, but is in the initial stage of development.

It is assumed that the terminal will become universal, but its main specialization will be aimed at processing imported container cargo. As of September 2024, Perm enterprises are customs clearance at the terminal in Palniki, which is experiencing an area shortage and limited work opportunities. The new terminal will significantly improve the logistics infrastructure of the region and meet the growing demand for container transportation.[1]
