2018: Polytechnic Museum renovation extended for two years
The completion of the restoration of the Polytechnic Museum, located in the very center of Moscow, has been postponed until 2020. The relevant amendments to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 665 of September 2, 2010 have been officially published. Earlier it was reported that the work will be completed in the second quarter of this year.
The total amount of costs for the reconstruction of the building amounted to 13.23 billion rubles. Of these, 7.46 billion will still be allocated in 2018 - 2020. The main amount of funds - 4.19 billion - will be in 2019. Recall that the project is financed from the federal budget of the Russian Federation.
As previously reported on the website of the Moscow Archsovet, after the completion of work in the Polytechnic Museum, a multifunctional space will be created. In particular, a park museum, permanent and temporary exhibitions of the exposition, a large audience and a lecture hall, libraries, educational and scientific laboratories will become available to visitors. A street of innovation will also appear in the complex - an educational and gaming interactive zone for children of preschool and primary school age.
