Professionali.ru is a Russian social network that unites users by industry, professional and geographical characteristics. Launched in 2008. The General Director is Sergey Borisov, the Executive Director (CEO) is Dmitry Sitnikov.

The site has a search for users by base (by cities, industries, age, profession) and a variety of platforms: selection of work and employees; training; business and informal communications, including recommendations for business development ("Communities," "Question-Answer"); promotion of their projects and companies ("Ads," user advertising).

Audience

From 2010 to the summer of 2017, the number of users increased from 300 thousand to 6.6 million people.

The number of registered users of the largest business social network in Russia and the CIS "Профессионалы.ru" in June 2017 exceeded 6.6 million people (6,605,930). According to the project manager Nikita Inozemtsev, the resource annually demonstrates stable growth: "Now from 500 to 1,500 people are registered per day. We are progressively moving towards the mark of 7 million users. "

The core of the Профессионалов.ru audience is Russian-speaking users aged 30 to 35 from Russia, the CIS and other countries of the world (72%, 20% and 8%, respectively). In general, 65% of users have or were related to small and medium-sized businesses.

Users from 33 industries and 166 industries are registered on the site. A person's profile is essentially his resume and extended calling card. Users have the ability to exchange personal messages and documents.

The Russian segment of users consists mainly of representatives of various regions (78%). Moscow and St. Petersburg account for 22%.

History

2010

In April 2010, it was announced that private British investor Nick Lockett had acquired a minority stake in Профессионалы.ру. Based on the amount of the transaction, the value of the company amounted to $9.4 million. The funds raised were used to develop the project.

Later, the British investment fund Open Capital entered into an agreement to acquire a minority stake in the social network. The transaction amount amounted to $2.5 million. Open Capital was the first fund to enter the capital of the social network. The funds raised were also aimed at the development of "Профессионалы.ру" in a number of areas.

2008

The Professionali.ru website was launched in May 2008. Investors of the social network were Dmitry Sitnikov and Stanislav Lisichenko. The leaders of the project were Sergey Sergei Borisov Khalyavin.
