In April, 2020 the Moscow state budgetary institution "Ritual" began to render remote services after the mayor's office temporarily closed cemeteries because of COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
- On the website of organization it is possible to order the following services: remote visit of a grave (the cost of service is 850 rubles)
- flower-laying (1200 rubles)
- single care of the place of burial (260 rubles for square meter)
- single care of nadmogilny constructions (120 rubles for square meter).
Such request can be sent to mail of State Budgetary Institution Ritual, it will be in reply sent the photo with confirmation on accomplishment of the request. For the first day of rendering funeral services 25 requests were online accepted
On April 9, 2020 the mayor Moscow Sergey Sobyanin reported that capital cemeteries will be closed for visit for action of high alert because of a coronavirus and, in particular, on the Palm Sunday, Easter, the St. Thomas' Sunday and the Radonitsa.
As the acting as the head of the press service of Ritual Mikhail Shitenkov noted, in 2019 during spring holidays of the cemetery visited more than one million people. In the 2020th because of a coronavirus pandemic it is necessary to refuse it: for the period of action in Moscow of high alert free access on cemeteries is closed, however still there take place burial ceremonies. At the same time 30-50 people, after the outbreak of a coronavirus — 5-7 people said goodbye earlier, Shitenkov reported.
It is noted that in the conditions of the high alert introduced in Moscow the staff of organization continues works on improvement of cemeteries in the normal mode.
Except remote services to the population State Budgetary Institution Ritual takes also other measures necessary in the conditions of high alert. For example, transfers to distance learning of the ritual agents.[1]
